Hi friends! We have been in our Silver Spring house for ten months now… and I’m just now getting around to a Bucket List Check-In. I had every intention of doing this every six months, but life got in the way so here we are now!
We seriously cannot believe that we live here some days. A hop, skip and a jump away from the Washington DC line and a (sometimes) quick 40 minute drive back to Baltimore. We are living the dream being able to still see friends and family, but really explore our new hometown and make our own memories here.
We sat down and created this bucket list with no end goal or deadline, but to serve as a guide as we approached our new city. If ya’ll have been following me since Soup of the Day you know that I love to celebrate and hype up the city I’m living in. I pick really cool places to live and I want everyone else to know how amazing they are! While we got a slow start, we are definitely exploring and crossing things off the list!
Here’s what we’ve done so far:
Visit 10 Monuments/Memorials
World War II Memorial
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
The National Monument
Vietnams Women’s Memorial
Walk through 10/23 Smithsonian Museums
Smithsonian’s National Zoo
National Portrait Gallery
