Sarasota is known for it’s white sand beaches, gorgeous water views and as the home of the Orioles Spring Training of course! During a recent trip to Sarasota to watch the Orioles (hopefully) beat the Yankees, they tied, we bopped around town devouring amazing food everywhere we went.
Whether you are staying for a long weekend or a week you have to check out at least a few of the ones below!
Marina Jacks is located in downtown Sarasota near the Unconditional Surrender statue. The restaurant offers great views right on the water and multiple dining room options so you can pick from soaking up sunshine on their outdoor deck to an air conditioned dining room when the temperatures are too hot to handle!
Harry’s Continental Kitchen
Harry’s Continental Kitchen in Longboat Key can only be described as cozy and quaint. The food is superb and the staff are so incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for a great meal in an intimate setting this is the spot. They also have the good chocolate mints. #ifyouknowyouknow
Five O Donut Co
Located near the Police Station and a handful of bail bond shops, the police themed gourmet donut shop was one of my favorite parts of our Sarasota trip. They’ve thought of everything with the body outlined on the floor and on theme backdrop behind a photobooth that you can use to take selfies with your friends or your donuts. Flavors include Peanut Butter Snickers, Cookie Monster and my personal favorite, Fruity Lucky Charms.
Mattison’s City Grille
Mattison’s is located downtown right off of Main Street and boats an open air dining room with tiki torches and outdoor heaters. Make a reservation because they were BUSY, but the food was incredible and the service was impeccable.
C’est La Vie
C’est La Vie is an adorable and authentic French restaurant in downtown Sarasota. Get your French ready because the staff speaks French and English while serving up the most delicious pasties and breakfast dishes. I highly recommend the Nutella, coconut and banana crepe, but you can’t go wrong with their savory crepes as well!
From scallops to spaghetti, donuts and desserts these restaurants have it all and should be added to any Sarasota travel guide!
