Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I always wake up hungry and ready to stuff my face but the dilemma of delicious cereal or a smoothie is one that I struggle with most mornings. Why choose? Why not have both? My love of both inspired the Froot Loop Smoothie Bowl!
Last week after my morning trip to the gym, I stopped by my grocery store and picked up all of the ingredients for my smoothie bowl.
1 banana, frozen
1 ½ cups frozen strawberries
½ cup of non-dairy milk
Fresh strawberries, sliced
Fresh bananas, sliced
I’m proficient in smoothie making and the only difference in this recipe is the vessel the smoothie sits in and the toppings added so I got to work quickly!
To create the smoothie base add the frozen banana, frozen strawberries and non-dairy milk to a blender and blend until smooth and thick.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl and layer toppings however you’d like. You can make a pattern, arrange them neatly or just throw them on top. It’s your smoothie bowl after all!
How good does that look? I love that the Froot Loops give the smoothie bowl a pop of color and a pop of flavor too!
